Vicky and family rent a boat for the day in an attempt to look a little less dysfunctional for the cameras. I don't think Vicky would have been spending the day with them if they weren't filming. I imagine Vicky bartering with the producers and them working out a deal to show the name of her company at least 3 times this episode if she'll spend the day with her family.
They pass a guy fishing in the water and Vicky wonders why on earth he would spend his days fishing when he could just buy fish at the market. I really hate it when the Housewives do this thing where they act like they don't understand normal stuff like fishing and pretend to be confused by it.

Vicky says that she doesn't like her real family as much as she likes her work family, which oddly enough seems to be made up of mostly Micheal and Brianna's friends. Wasn't she working out of her home last season? It looks like she just scooped up her children's friends, rented an office space, and is having fun playing big bad boss all day. Serious control issues going on here. She said she gets respect at work and that's why she would rather be there than with her family. I wonder if she would get the same respect if she were working with professionals her own age.

The family discusses where they're gonna go after the boat trip, but Vicky just wants to head back to the office the second her feet touch land. She says that someone has to pay for their life style, but I think that's just an excuse. Vicky isn't running some multi million dollar business with thousands of employees. She sells insurance. It's a 9-5 job. The president of Nationwide doesn't work as hard as she does.

Tamra reads Alexi's text message to Eddie. She even made the voices like when you're reading a book to child. I know he's young, but he's not that young Tamra! Alexis was unhappy about Tamra bringing pepper spray to her party and she has no intention of dropping it. She's going to squeeze every last bit of drama she can get out of this situation. Tamra tells Eddie that next time she'll bring a dildo. I think that would be a more appropriate gift - especially for Vicky. She looks like she might need one. Just sayin...

Tamra and Eddie arrive in Spain and check into their hotel room. And what would you know, out of all the Housewives, Tammy Sue from the trailer park is the first one who actually knows how to pronounce the word "bidet"! Who woulda thunk it.

Back in the OC Gretchen is wearing her smart glasses while she plans her parents 40th secret surprise wedding anniversary. Slade tries to help out by suggesting personalized tissue boxes but Gretchen shoots him down. He's there to take orders, not make suggestions. Who else is getting a kick out of watching Gretchen totally emasculate Slade every chance she gets?

It looks like Peggy took the advice everyone was giving on the blogs last week and went to see a real doctor about her post pardum depression.... unfortunately that doctor was a plastic surgeon and not a psychiatrist. Peggy thinks new boobies will help her feel less suicidal, and I think post pardum is her never fail excuse to get what she wants.

I don't care if it's a Bently. It looks like something the Adam's family should be driving

Vicky is finally free from her family and is back in the office where no one questions her or holds her accountable for her outrageous behavior. She brings one of her employees into her office and discusses the fact that she left work the other day and never came back. Vicky decides that the best way to deal with this infraction is to give the girl a spanking. Vicky is taking this "work is my family and my employees are my children" thing just a biiiiit too far. She says that spanking shows love but discipline. I think it shows that she's nuts and open to a sexual harassment law suit.

Alexis and Peggy have a real frenemy thing gong on. Alexis brings Peggy some food after her boob surgery. Alexis says to the camera that Peggy isn't as well endowed as her, while Peggy explains that she didn't want her boobs to be so big that it's all you look at - like Alexis. Alexis says that her son had wanted to come with her to see how Peggy was doing, and Peggy wonders if it's Alexis or Jim who is teaching the kid to be a boob man. Peggy shows Alexis her new boobs and Alexis tells her they look great, but in her talking head she says she was thinking that Peggy should have gone to her doctor instead.

Tamra and Eddie are enjoying themselves in Spain. Bravo spared us the bathroom scenes this time. Tamra says that she doesn't speak Spanish well enough to order from a menu, but that she does know how to tell someone off. Why am I not even remotely surprised by that? Eddie tells Tamra that he wants to have a kid and she almost chokes on her drink. She doesn't want any more kids, but tells him that a boy would be nice. "Gotta reel em in" she says. Yes... but then you have to keep em too.

Gretchen begins the day of surprises for her parents. I'm not totally sure why we have to watch this, but I'm assuming the editors must not have had much to work with since they're dragging this out over so many episodes now. In her talking heads she contradicts everything she said last week about marriage and her fears surrounding it. Last week she decided that she never wanted to be married again after her first marriage failed. This week it's because she never got to have the fairy tale wedding she planned to her prince charming, Jeff. Did she plan that wedding? I thought it was understood that he wasn't going to live long enough to get married.

Gretchen has been dragging her parents all over from one surprise to the next, and it's almost time for the surprise vow renewal. Gretchen says that her mom really raised her right, and that when people talk about her they say that she's a woman of integrity. That was the funniest line of the whole night! I've seen a lot of things written about Gretchen over the years, the word "integrity" has never been one of them.

The whole surprise vow renewal thing seemed like a nice idea. But.... there were no friends or family members there. Gretchen didn't even invite her brother. It was just her, Slade, and the camera crew. Makes me wonder about motives...

Next week Alexis still wants to fight about pepper spray, and we get to see Peggy's husband discuss the importance of being a good father with Gretchen and Slade, so that should be fun. Slade sure is looking disheveled these days, isn't he?
